Why is Dharmapuri a great location for our fulfillment center?
The poultry sector is possibly the fastest growing and most flexible of all livestock sectors. Driven primarily by very strong demand, it has expanded, consolidated and globalized over the past 15 years. The compound annual growth rate of poultry protein between 2015 and 2025 is estimated to be +2.4% [1]
In India, rural poultry is considered an asset. Apart from being their major source of protein supply, poultry is also a key income generator. Today, more and more traditional crop farmers are looking to diversify into poultry farming as it is easy, does not require too much infrastructure investment and it can be easily handled by women, aged family members and children.
However, high mortality rate in young chicks due to a combination of diseases, low production performance of desi birds and lack of scientific knowledge are constraints that have been difficult to overcome.
At Aqai, we are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of poultry, bred with scientific know-how. We have a state-of-the-art fulfillment center located in the temperate Dharmapuri plateau.
Here, all varieties of poultry such as chicken, duck and turkey chicks are reared in temperature-controlled environments in order to optimize growth rate, hatching ability and attributes of egg production.
The presence of a fulfillment center in Dharmapuri helps in more ways than one.
a. Tamil Nadu is known for its agricultural merits. Rural parts of the state is replete with hatcheries and farms. Our center at Dharmapuri, is a good landmark to identify and interact with surrounding hatcheries for collaborative functioning. Aqgromalin evaluates and joins hands with certified hatcheries to source chicks from healthy parent stock.
b. The geographically well-placed fulfillment center is ideal for prompt supply chain. Logistically, it helps in planning on-time delivery and accurate shipment across five states — Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
c. The temperature of the district is suitable for the growth of many varieties of poultry such as Aseel Cross, Kadaknath, Kairali, Giriraja, White Pekin Duck, Turkey and Guinea Fowl. They can be directly procured from the center.
d. The fulfillment center has no dearth of space. It is well-equipped and can house up to 1000 birds.
